he post-Ferguson atmosphere of loathing towards law enforcement has taken another bizarre turn in Massachusetts where an obviously deranged person acted out last week. Lindsay McNamara, a 24 year old woman walked into a Framingham police station with a Dunkin Donuts box filled with meat on Friday and announced that “I’m here to feed the pigs” before flinging her bacon and sausage around. Fortunately she did not have a weapon and was quickly arrested for disorderly conduct. It is yet another exclamation point – although a very weird one – on the ongoing series of hostile acts towards police in America.
According to a story from the website of WCBV-5 of Boston, “Woman charged after throwing bacon, sausage in Framingham police station”:
An Ashland woman accused of walking onto the Framingham Police Department and throwing sausage and bacon says God told her to go “feed the pigs.”
Lindsay McNamara represented herself in court Friday after being arrested earlier in the day.
“Somebody’s out to get me,” she said in court. “I don’t know who it is, but somebody is out to get me.”
McNamara, 24, is now charged with disorderly conduct and malicious destruction of property after the incident Friday morning.
“She walked into the lobby and was carrying a Dunkin’ Donuts box, walked up to the window, when the officer greeted her asked if he could help here she said ‘I’m here to feed the pigs,'” Framingham police Lt. Harry Wareham said.
McNamara then allegedly reached into the box and began throwing raw bacon and sausage at the officer and smearing the greasy meat onto the bulletproof glass.
“It’s clear she may need help,” Wareham said.
The judge agreed. He also told her that she had the right to an attorney, and that anything she said could be used against her.
“I mean, I didn’t really destruct property,” she said. “I just smeared some grease.”
The judge then told her she didn’t need to confess anything, and McNamara just shrugged and said, “Oh.”
The judge then called McNamara’s parents forward and told them he was postponing the arraignment pending the outcome of a mental evaluation.
Her mother said her daughter was a good person, but just needed some help.
Ms. McNamara seems to be a prime example of how easily that mentally disturbed people can be induced to go after law enforcement figures in the charged climate that exists after celebrities and pro athletes became Michael Brown boosters. With millions in this country choosing to sit in front of their big screen televisions and allowing themselves to be electronically lobotomized it is only natural for celebrity figures trashing the police to influence their thinking. Some snap as Ismaaiyl Brinsley did when he assassinated two helpless New York City police officers and others walk into their local cop shop and smear gobs of greasy meat on the dispatcher’s window. Such stories are becoming more commonplace every day now.
They will continue to do so given that celebrity is the coin of the realm in this land of woe, fear, moral depravity and desperation. I wonder if NBA superstar LeBron James whose parading around in an “I Can’t Breathe” shirt earned the praise of Obama would call the police if one of his posh mansions was robbed? It doesn’t make much sense to engage in the politics of agitation in his case unless the motive is something more cynical – like marketing athletic shoes and apparel to a demographic that is inclined to pathologically hate the cops.
Again, it is a damned good thing that McNamara did not have a gun but she is another sign of a very serious social problem that is slowly metastasizing across the fruited plain.
