The great Hillary Clinton crusade is drawing throngs of adoring media and fans as it slithers through diners, drive-ins and dives in the Hawkeye State. Hillary, one of the most wretched examples of a political system gone to rot and a longtime insider is desperately working to sell herself to the masses of asses as some sort of anti-establishment populist. Anyone who has been watching Mrs. Clinton for years though fully understands that she is as phony as the day is long. This is especially so with her Wall Street backers who are in on the big con.

In the story entitled “Hillary Clinton’s Wall Street backers: We get it”, Politico reports:

Hillary Clinton sounded like a woman on a mission after her long drive into the heartland: “There’s something wrong,” she told Iowans on Tuesday, when “hedge fund managers pay lower taxes than nurses or the truckers I saw on I-80 when I was driving here over the last two days.”

But back in Manhattan, the hedge fund managers who’ve long been part of her political and fundraising networks aren’t sweating the putdown and aren’t worrying about their take-home pay just yet.

It’s “just politics,” said one major Democratic donor on Wall Street, explaining that some of her Wall Street supporters doubt she would push hard for closing the carried interest loophole as president, a policy she promoted when she last ran in 2008.

It was always going to be difficult to reconcile Hillary’s new sales pitch about being a champion for the middle class with her actual record. Both Clintons have become wealthy after holding public office and a good chunk of that comes from the government protected financial gangsters on Wall Street. Don’t ever forget that it was Slick Willie himself who set the stage for the 2007 economic collapse and the so-called “Great Recession” with his blowjob to the banksters by allowing the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act that turned banks into casinos. Americans have been getting robbed ever since. There is a good reason why Hillary is so vague on policy at this point, she needs to harvest as many suckers as possible right off the bat.

So while Hillary may talk a good game when she attacks CEO pay she is totally full of bullshit. Like the unnamed Wall Street donor in the Politico piece puts it: “it’s just politics”.
