In a devastating blow to critics of the government mandated corporate ripoff known as Obamacare, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in favor of the latest challenge to Emperor Barack Obama’s signature domestic achievement. The champagne corks were already going to be popping at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW after the great globalist screwjob of Obamatrade sailed through Congress but now there could be days of 24/7 orgies of drunkenness and debauchery unseen since the most decadent days of the Roman Empire. Shortly after the ruling Barry himself gloated that Obamacare was “here to stay”.

In a story simply entitled “Supreme Court saves Obamacare” CNN reports the following:

Obamacare has survived — again.

In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court saved the controversial health care law that will define President Barack Obama’s administration for generations to come.

The ruling holds that the Affordable Care Act authorized federal tax credits for eligible Americans living not only in states with their own exchanges but also in the 34 states with federal marketplaces. It staved off a major political showdown and a mad scramble in states that would have needed to act to prevent millions from losing health care coverage.

“Five years ago, after nearly a century of talk, decades of trying, a year of bipartisan debate, we finally declared that in America, health care is not a privilege for a few but a right for all,” Obama said from the White House. “The Affordable Care Act is here to stay”

In a moment of high drama, Chief Justice John Roberts sent a bolt of tension through the Court when he soberly announced that he would issue the majority opinion in the case. About two-thirds of the way through his reading, it became clear that he again would be responsible for rescuing Obamacare.

“Congress passed the Affordable Care Act to improve health insurance markets, not to destroy them,” Roberts wrote in the majority opinion. “If at all possible, we must interpret the Act in a way that is consistent with the former, and avoids the latter.”

Conservatives have to be steaming over Roberts, a George W. Bush appointee who once again rescued the so-called health care “reform” effort. But anyone who scrutinized Chief Justice Roberts’ pre-SCOTUS career understood perfectly that he is first and foremost in the bag for big corporations. It was nearly impossible to see how Roberts would have bitten the hand that fed him by killing Obamacare and sending the insurance companies into a state of chaos. He will no doubt be vilified but he has always been little more than a corporate stooge.

The SCOTUS has one more really big ruling on tap and that is going to be on whether to put the highest court’s stamp of approval on gay marriage which if it passes -as is expected – is going to drive social conservatives totally batshit even more than the infamous Roe v. Wade did. The ruling on gay marriage can come anytime between now and Tuesday and is guaranteed to piss off millions either way.
