The same people who once upon a time tried to hoodwink the American people into buying a flip-flopping Massachusetts liberal wrapped in magic underwear only to have their product rejected are at it again. Today Willard “Mitt” Romney aka the guy whose lousy presidential campaign stuck us all with a second helping of Barack Obama was relaunched to great fanfare. The establishment media is all-in on the sales job that somehow the recycled, feckless flim-flam man is the perfect pitchman to instill a bad case of buyer’s remorse into any American who may support Donald Trump. With his Super Tuesday baby seal clubbing of sweaty Prince Marco, the Donald has rocketed to the top of the official establishment enemies of America list, far worse than Putin, Assad or even Kim Jong-un and Romney is having none of it.
CNN Reports on Mitt’s fatwa in the article “Romney implores: Bring down Trump”:
Mitt Romney delivered a sweeping broadside against Donald Trump on Thursday, laying into the Republican presidential front-runner with a sharper attack than any of the party’s 2016 contenders have made against the billionaire business mogul.
“Here’s what I know: Donald Trump is a phony, a fraud,” Romney said. “His promises are as worthless as a degree from Trump University. He’s playing members of the American public for suckers: He gets a free ride to the White House, and all we get is a lousy hat.”
Romney said that “dishonesty is Donald Trump’s hallmark,” pointing to his “bullying, the greed, the showing off, the misogyny, the absurd third-grade theatrics.”
There’s irony in Romney’s speech: Just four years ago, he courted Trump’s endorsement — even after Trump had led the “birther” controversy against President Barack Obama, insisting that Obama release his birth certificate to prove he is an American citizen.
Give it to CNN for pointing out that Romney groveled at Trump’s feet for his blessing in 2012, a fact that the billionaire iconoclast quickly pointed out. CNN reports on Trump’s return volley in the story “Donald Trump: Mitt Romney ‘would have dropped to his knees’ for my endorsement”:
Donald Trump struck back at 2012 GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney Thursday, blasting the former Massachusetts governor for “begging” for his endorsement four years ago only to sharply criticize him now.
“I don’t know what happened to him,” Trump said during a rally in Portland, Maine. “You can see how loyal he is. He was begging for my endorsement. I could have said, ‘Mitt, drop to your knees.’ He would have dropped to his knees.”
“Mitt is indeed a choke artist,” Trump said. “He choked like I’ve never seen anyone choke. Other than Rubio.”
Trump also said that his net worth is more than Romney’s, claiming that one of his New York properties alone is worth more than the former Massachusetts’ governor’s net worth.
The real estate mogul also continued to reject Romney’s claim that Trump could have a “bombshell” in his tax returns, which he has not released, citing an ongoing audit.
Trump did not have all bad things to say about the Romneys, however, praising Mitt’s wife Ann as “a lovely woman.”
The unusually animated Romney even accused Trump of playing voters for “suckers” which is something that he can lay claim to being one hell of an authority on. Had Mitt showed any of the gumption that he is now unleashing on Trump back when he needed it to defeat Obama then he would currently be busy with his reelection effort instead of wailing like a lost soul trapped in a moss-covered crypt in the graveyard of failed politicians.
Senator John McCain, another loser who was bitch slapped by Obama, agreed with Romney and will be sought out by the fawning media in the coming days. However, early signs indicate that the Romney call for voters to deliver a brokered convention may already be backfiring. It was a risky gambit in an atmosphere that is bordering on outright rebellion against the elite and their disregard of the average Joe and Jane on Main Street in favor of smoke filled back rooms, shady globalist trade deals and Wall Street bank bailouts.
And leave it to these two clueless freaks to wonder why the voters have had it with the establishment?
