It has been said that one can judge a man by who his enemies are and by this standard Donald Trump continues to make the case that he should be president. Senator Lindsey Graham, a swishy, gang of eight RINO establishment type who represents everything that is wrong with today’s Republican Party is lamenting the failure of the party elite to stop Trump. The strident South Carolina senator who is both a failed presidential candidate as well as a chagrined Jeb! backer was one of Trump’s earliest and most strident critics along with his better half John McCain. The media’s go to guy appeared on CNN Monday night and opened a vein to wealthy celebrity host Wolf Blitzer.

Politico reports that “Graham: We should have kicked Trump out of the party”:

Republicans should have expelled Donald Trump from the Republican Party, Lindsey Graham said Monday.

The former presidential candidate told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer that the New York billionaire’s rhetoric toward immigrants has exacerbated the problem the GOP had with Hispanics in 2012.

“He took our problems in 2012 with Hispanics and made them far worse by espousing forced deportation,” Graham said. “Looking back, we should have basically kicked him out of the party.”

Asked how that would be done, the South Carolina senator suggested Republicans could have united against him like many are doing now.

“The more you know about Donald Trump, the less likely you are to vote for him. The more you know about his business enterprises, the less successful he looks. The more you know about his political giving, the less Republican he looks,” Graham said. “We should have done this months ago.”

Graham added that the Trump train is leaking oil. “I think this whole assault on his credentials of being a successful businessman and being a true Republican conservative is beginning to work,” he said.

The Palmetto State princess took no small amount of glee that Trump may have finally been wounded by a multi-million dollar negative advertising blitz funded by the special interest groups that stand to lose the most if a candidate who isn’t beholden to them wins the nomination. What Graham and the other establishment cretins fail to realize is that with all of their dirty work trying to stop Trump that they are severely damaging him if he manages to survive their relentless attacks and traps to represent the GOP in the general election. In essence they are saving Team Hillary and the Dem establishment fortune that than then be redirected to the downticket races, possibly flipping the Senate over to the Democrats. Not that Graham gives a rat’s ass, he was re-elected during the great 2014 mid-term stab in the back and is safely ensconced at the trough for five more years.
