Rapidly deteriorating GOP establishment tool Lyin’ Ted Cruz has already produced the whopper of the month only three days into May. With his campaign on the brink of suffering what could be a fatal head shot in Tuesday’s Indiana primary, tricky Ted has pulled another one out of his ass and it’s a doozy. In a public meltdown for the ages Cruz launched into a crazed diatribe after Donald Trump riffed off of a tabloid story that his religious fanatic father was palling around with Lee Harvey Oswald back in 1963. Cruz – and the media which is in full swarm mode – is blasting Trump over allegedly accusing Rafael Cruz Sr. of being a part of the swirling conspiracy that resulted in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

Cruz’s blast furnace hot rant exceeded even his Academy Award worthy “sniveling coward” performance after Trump tweeted that picture of dumpy Heidi compared to gorgeous Melania in retaliation for a Cruz Super PAC’s slut shaming of his wife. As reported by the self proclaimed most trusted name in news CNN, “Cruz unloads with epic takedown of ‘pathological liar,’ ‘narcissist’ Donald Trump”:

Ted Cruz on Tuesday unloaded on Donald Trump, accusing him during a news conference of being a “pathological liar,” “utterly amoral,” “a narcissist at a level I don’t think this country’s ever seen” and “a serial philanderer.”

“He is proud of being a serial philanderer … he describes his own battles with venereal diseases as his own personal Vietnam,” Cruz said, citing a decades-old Trump appearance on “The Howard Stern Show.”

The Texas senator’s dramatic and deeply personal attack on Trump comes as polls indicate Trump is poised to claim victory in Cruz’s must-win state of Indiana and follow accusations the front-runner made about Cruz’s father.

The epic takedown of his opponent on an all-important voting day was extraordinary even by the standards of the 2016 campaign — and quickly drew a scathing response from Trump.

“This man is a pathological liar, he doesn’t know the difference between truth and lies … in a pattern that is straight out of a psychology text book, he accuses everyone of lying,” Cruz said as Indiana voters headed to cast their ballots.

“Whatever lie he’s telling, at that minute he believes it … the man is utterly amoral,” Cruz told reporters. “Donald is a bully … bullies don’t come from strength they come from weakness.”

Earlier Tuesday, Trump had criticized Rafael Cruz, calling him “disgraceful” after he urged evangelical voters in Indiana to reject his son’s rival.

Trump also referenced a report from the tabloid National Enquirer — without naming the publication — which alleged that it had identified Rafael Cruz in a photo with Lee Harvey Oswald months prior to the JFK assassination. CNN has not independently confirmed that report — and there is no evidence that it is true.

Actually what Trump said while on Fox was “his father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald’s being shot. I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous, I mean what was he doing with Lee Harvey Oswald, shortly before the death? Before the shooting? It’s horrible.” Hardly an accusation that Rafael Sr. was in on the plot but with a guy like Ted Cruz trivial details don’t really matter. It was vintage Trump using an offhand comment in an otherwise mundane interview to finally dig directly into the raw nerve that drove his opponent into a primal scream of pain. The establishment media, many of them still recovering from their hangovers from the gathering of pigs that was the White House Correspondent’s Association dinner jumped in and furiously helped to spread Ted’s big lie.

Whether Rafael Cruz Sr. was really in the company of Oswald during the days leading up to the JFK hit can probably never be determined and Mr. Cruz has yet to provide any details of his whereabouts during that period that would debunk the rumors once and for all. There were a lot of tales of Cuban extremists as well as commie double agents mingling with spooks before and after the Bay of Pigs, particularly the JMWAVE bunch based out of Miami. The CIA has also been known to be affiliated with religious fronts from which operations were undertaken. Some reports have even raised questions on whether there was some involvement of Poppy Bush in such things as his company Zapata and the Bushes have a history with Cruz.

The truth about the Kennedy assassination has been defended for over fifty years and any deviation from the official “lone gunman” government conspiracy theory will face the full fury of the pocket media, much like any questions about the official story of what happened on 9/11 will. Neither event has ever received a serious an honest investigation and I’ll leave it at that.

While it may yet be that Cruz – with a big assist from the withering media coverage of the latest lie about Trump – may just get enough sympathetic voters to the polls to find a way to win Indiana, he has pretty much shot his wad with his crazed anti-Trump diatribe. Hillary would have landslided the guy anyway but now there isn’t a word to adequately describe the destruction that awaits Cruz in November if he is able to use the JFK distortion to recover from his death spiral. Then again the Hoosier state faithful may see right through the outburst as the last big con from an oily, bible pounding ambulance chaser who is whining because he’s getting his ass kicked.

Trump was quick to drop the hammer after Cruz completely lost his composure and lunged for the bait.

The Hill reports “Trump: Cruz has become ‘unhinged’”:

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump says rival Ted Cruz has “become more and more unhinged,” after Cruz went on the warpath against Trump amid escalating insults between the two candidates.

“Ted Cruz is a desperate candidate trying to save his failing campaign,” Trump said in a statement released by his campaign Tuesday. “It is no surprise he has resorted to his usual tactics of over-the-top rhetoric that nobody believes.”

Trump was referring to Cruz’s remarks earlier Tuesday that Trump is a “pathological liar,” “utterly amoral” and that he “has a real problem with women.”

The Texas senator was responding to Trump’s suggestion that Cruz’s father might have had something to do with the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

“Over the last week, I have watched Lyin’ Ted become more and more unhinged as he is unable to react under the pressure and stress of losing, in all cases by landslides, the last six primary elections — in fact, coming in last place in all but one of them,” Trump added.

“Today’s ridiculous outburst only proves what I have been saying for a long time, that Ted Cruz does not have the temperament to be President of the United States.”

As he has worked his way through the entire GOP field of combatants, Trump has dispatched his adversaries with a cold and cunning efficiency befitting of a trained assassin. It will be the greatest show on earth once he is able to get to the main course and goads Hillary Clinton into a spectacular blow up that will resemble the fate of the killer shark at the end of Jaws.
