The high pitched wailing from liberals and blacktivists will be heard from sea to shining sea over the latest news involving George Zimmerman. Mr. Zimmerman was the self-styled neighborhood watchman who shot and killed black teenager Trayvon Martin in a highly controversial 2012 incident that was a precursor to the racial animus that erupted after the Ferguson unrest that spawned the Black Lives Matter movement. Zimmerman was acquitted in the shooting but is back in the news and to say that it’s going to make a lot of folks very unhappy is a huge understatement. Zimmerman is auctioning off the firearm used to kill Martin with the proceeds going to fight the BLM anti-cop agenda.

George Zimmerman shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin on February 26, 2012. Zimmerman was charged with second-degree murder and manslaughter, then acquitted by a Florida jury on July 13, 2013. The case sparked a nationwide debate and protests over “stand your ground” laws and race relations in the United States.

Now, Zimmerman is auctioning off the 9-millimeter pistol he used to kill Martin on a website called GunBroker.com.

“I am honored and humbled to announce the sale of an American Firearm Icon,” he wrote in the description of the gun used to kill the unarmed, black teenager. “The firearm for sale is the firearm that was used to defend my life and end the brutal attack from Trayvon Martin on 2/26/2012.”

He wrote that the proceeds will be used to “fight [Black Lives Matter] violence against Law Enforcement officers” and to “ensure the demise of Angela Correy’s persecution career and Hillary Clinton’s anti-firearm rhetoric,” though he hasn’t expounded upon how.

A contentious election cycle in which the Democrats have cynically exploited racial divisions in order to win votes is about to get even nastier. While it is lost on liberal loons that Zimmerman faced a jury and was acquitted and that he has every right to sell his own property and donate to whoever the hell that he damn well pleases it will be quickly latched onto by those with agendas. They’ll probably just blame it all on Trump which seems to be the standard operating procedure these days.
