If Hillary Rodham-Clinton goes on to win the election she will owe a certain amount of gratitude to Republicans who have engaged in Trump bashing. The spot continues to go for Trump’s jugular over the politically motivated Trump University lawsuit sham and focuses on the presumptive GOP nominee’s criticism of the judge. The opposition to Trump has elevated legitimate questions as to whether Judge Gonzalo Curiel could be objective despite his Mexican ethnicity as well as his sympathetic views towards Latino supremacist organization La Raza. Trump has been repeatedly fragged by his own troops and it was inevitable that Team Hillary would take advantage at some point.

Now the first advertisement of Republicans giving their de facto endorsements to Queen Hillary is out.

The Hill is reporting that “Clinton ad: ‘Even other Republicans are offended’ by Trump”:

A new ad from Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton’s campaign zeroes in on Donald Trump’s comments about a federal judge to say that his rhetoric disgusts even fellow Republicans.

The spot next shows Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, criticizing the ethnicity of a judge overseeing lawsuits against his Trump University.

“Trump’s statements are so extreme even other Republicans are offended,” the clip released Sunday says.

It then shows video of a recent CNN interview with Trump.

“If you are saying he can’t do his job because of his race, is that not the definition of racism?” CNN host Jake Tapper asks Trump.

“No, I don’t think so at all,” he responds. “We’re building a wall. He’s a Mexican.”

The commercial then quotes GOP strategist Ana Navarro.

“How dare he question a judge’s responsibility, a judge’s adherence to the Constitution, because he is of Mexican descent?” she says. “He is just as American as Donald Trump. Mexican Americans bleed just as any other American when they go to war. They bled just as any other Americans at 9/11.

“I’m livid about it. If this is his strategy to win over Hispanics, he has a hell of a wake-up call coming to him come November.”

Current and former Republican leadership additionally slam Trump’s remarks about Curiel in the clip.

“This is one of the worst mistakes Trump has made,” former Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) says. “I think it’s inexcusable.”

“I completely disagree with the thinking behind that,” Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) says.

“I couldn’t disagree more with a statement like that,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) says.

At this point you have to begin to wonder whether Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan have already cut their side deals with the Democrats to throw Trump under the bus and just enter into the same power-sharing situation that they currently have with Obama under President Hillary Clinton. They sure as hell aren’t doing much to help the presumptive nominee and party unity is secondary to self-preservation for cheese eaters like the leaders of the House and Senate.
