The biggest scams perpetrated upon the public by Congress are always cloaked in bipartisanship after which the corrupt media serenades the suckers that democracy truly works. This will be the case with the gun grabbers as establishment darling Susan Collins is sweeping to the rescue to ensure that the Orlando slaughter will not be a good crisis that goes to waste. It’s just as the late, great comedian and social critic George Carlin once put it: “bipartisan usually means that a larger-than-usual deception is being carried out” which should be chiseled in stone.

Maine Republican Sen. Susan Collins is working with a bipartisan group of senators on an alternative bill that she hopes will break the partisan gridlock in Congress over gun control.

Her proposal, coming in the wake of the horrific massacre at a gay nightclub in Orlando by a gunman pledging allegiance to ISIS, would bar gun sales to those on the government’s no-fly list.

The Senate is scheduled to vote Monday on two competing proposals — one from Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California and one from GOP Sen. John Cornyn of Texas — that also seek to prevent those with potential terror ties from buying guns. But similar versions by those senators were rejected in December and neither is expected to pass next week.

“Rather than doing Groundhog Day, I think it’s time for a new approach and a more targeted one,” Collins told reporters Thursday.

The moderate senator from Maine recently made news when she stated that she could very well support Hillary Clinton if Donald Trump is the GOP nominee and is just another example of the growing R.A.T. (Republicans Against Trump) problem that worsens by the day.

Make no mistake though, whatever form of gun control that emerges will be the proverbial camel’s nose under the tent and clear the way for more aggressive measures under a Hillary Clinton presidency.
