Nice job Never Trumpers! The ongoing attempts at staging a palace coup against the presumptive nominee of their own party and a failure to unify behind Donald Trump may be a far bigger disaster than anyone could have imagined. With the unexpected death of conservative Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia already having left a huge void for conservatives on the nation’s highest court it is now being reported that Clarence Thomas is considering retiring.

According to the Washington Examiner “End of conservative Supreme Court: Clarence Thomas may be next to leave”:

Justice Clarence Thomas, a reliable conservative vote on the Supreme Court, is mulling retirement after the presidential election, according to court watchers.

Thomas, appointed by former President George H.W. Bush and approved by the Senate after a bitter confirmation, has been considering retirement for a while and never planned to stay until he died, they said. He likes to spend summers in his RV with his wife.

His retirement would have a substantial impact on control of the court. The next president is expected to immediately replace the seat opened by the death of conservative Justice Antonin Scalia, providing a one-vote edge in the court that is currently divided 4-4.

Should Thomas leave, that slight majority would continue if Donald Trump becomes president. If it’s Hillary Clinton, then she would get the chance to flip two Republican seats, giving the liberals a 6-3 majority.

And, conservatives fear, that could switch to a 7-2 majority if Republican Justice Anthony Kennedy, already a swing vote, retires. He will be 80 next year.

We recently reported that if Clinton wins the presidency, her majority liberal court could stay in power at least until 2050.

While self-serving charlatans the likes of Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Erick Erickson, William Kristol and the dozens of other Trump saboteurs could really care less if Hillary packs the court with flaming liberals it is going to have one hell of an impact on the country. Eight years of Obama has already put us all on the road to perdition but just ponder what an megalomaniac freak like Hillary will do with a Supreme Court that will be stocked with judges who would make Merrick Garland look like Roy Moore. This is already coming but if Thomas hangs it up and trades in his robe for an RV and a peaceful retirement the gates of Hell will be opened. You can hardly blame Thomas who deserves a decent retirement and may not want to die on the job as Scalia did.

The wounding of Trump could also negatively impact Republican control of Congress which could in the doomsday scenario hand the reigns of all three branches of government to Queen Hillary.
