The coming showdown between Donald Trump and Paul Ryan Superstar may be commencing shortly. Trump threw down the gauntlet when he promised to save Social Security and Medicare, two programs that the jackals in big insurance and on Wall Street have been salivating over for years. Ryan will hit the roof over Trump’s blasphemy since the ‘ideas man’ has been sent to imperial Washington to see out the transformation of the popular government programs into cash cows for the predatory crony capitalists who fund King Paul and his ilk.
As Breitbart News reports “Donald Trump Rolls Out Winning Platform: Cut Taxes, Save Social Security and Medicare”:
Republican candidate Donald Trump focused this weekend on his economic platform: Cut taxes and regulations across the board while also saving Social Security Medicare, and other government safety-net programs.
Trump’s platform is nearly invincible in the general election if he stresses it enough, polling shows. Trump’s plan will also have a transformational effect on how people view his party. But he still needs to make the accounting work to ensure that his Third Way platform is feasible.
“We’re going to save your Social Security without killing it like so many people want to do. And your Medicare,” Trump said this weekend at a rally in Phoenix, which followed a rally in Las Vegas where he also highlighted Social Security. Trump is only starting to focus on the issue, but he’s been aware of its political potential at least since the Wisconsin primary, when he taunted conservative-movement candidate Ted Cruz and establishment rival John Kasich: “If we don’t make the country rich again, you’re going to have your Social Security cut by Cruz and Kasich.”
Heads must have exploded across Beltwayland when Trump uttered those words which if he incorporates them into his message will give him a potent weapon against the oligrachy. While Social Security is indeed somewhat of a Ponzi scheme it is a program that millions of Americans rely on for some small amount of dignity in their waning years. Not everyone has a 401k fund nor can those who work in blue collar jobs where their bodies wear down over the years continue to deal with the politicians continuing to increase the age to collect full benefits. What’s next, raising the age until after you are dead? Neither Social Security nor Medicare are “entitlements” either. That is some dastardly term cooked up by a Frank Luntz type of propaganda mill in order to attach a stigma to the programs. Medicare is an entitlement but people have are made to pay into Social Security all of their working lives and damned well deserve something when it comes time to collect.
Ryan’s scumbaggery will no doubt escalate now that Trump is promising to preserve programs that the conniving little weasel’s benefactors want him to destroy and this means war. Ryan is an amoral little shit who despite his anti-poverty rhetoric is a man who like Eichmann himself only sees himself as doing a job. He would give every last nickel of Social Security money to the Wall Street parasites to gamble with and if he could get away with it probably implement a Soylent Green style program to deal with America’s elderly as long as there was something in it for him.
This is a big winner for Trump and with the entire establishment now arrayed against him he needs stop falling into media laid traps and stick to the freaking issues.
