In a piece of startling news the latest ambush and assassination of law enforcement officers was a full-blown white folks hating racist. The killer, a former U.S. Marine named Gavin Eugene Long left behind plenty of information on social media in which he called for violence against cops and particularly “crackers”. With Long being the second former military member to turn cop murderer following the heinous actions of Micah Xavier Johnson in Dallas there appears to be a trend towards violence in the anti-cop, black supremacist movement.

The Baton Rouge murders are the logical progression in what was begun by the Black Lives Matter bunch who are increasingly being seen as the dangerous anarchists and domestic terrorists that they are. Long wasn’t a BLM member per se but the angry rhetoric and the failure of our political leadership to denounce rather than kowtow to the angry mobs have created the climate in which those like he would be moved to take action.

The Los Angeles Times provides some information on the killer in the story “What we know about Gavin Eugene Long, the Baton Rouge shooter”:

Gavin Eugene Long, the gunman who killed three police officers and wounded three others in Baton Rouge, La., on Sunday, left a vast and angry online trail documenting his interest in black separatism and fury at police shootings of black men.

Long, whose identity was confirmed by a law enforcement official, was shot to death by police after opening fire on officers on Airline Highway, less than a mile from the city’s police headquarters in Baton Rouge.

One law enforcement official described him as “a black separatist.” He carried out the shooting on his 29th birthday, and was from Kansas City, Mo.

Throughout his postings, Long described violence as the solution to what he saw as oppression of black Americans. He railed against the July 5 police shooting of 37-year-old Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge.

“One hundred percent of revolutions, of victims fighting their oppressors, from victims fighting their bullies, 100% have been successful through fighting back through bloodshed,” he said in a video. “Zero have been successful through simply protesting. It has never been successful and it never will.”

In a tweet, he called violence an “answer.”

“At what point do you stand up so that your people don’t become the Native Americans … EXTINCT?” it said. In another tweet, he praised Micah Johnson, the man who shot and killed five police officers in Dallas, saying “he was one of us!” and “my religion is justice.”

Another article over at the Daily Caller entitled “Baton Rouge Shooter Gavin Eugene Long Was Nation Of Islam Member, Railed Against ‘Crackers’ On YouTube Channel” adds additional disturbing details:

A Youtube account operated by Gavin Eugene Long and discovered by The Daily Caller reveals key insight into what might have motivated the 29-year-old black man who killed three Baton Rouge police officers Sunday morning.

Videos on Long’s account show that he was a former Nation of Islam member. He also ranted against “crackers” and made references to Alton Sterling, the black man killed by police in Baton Rouge on July 5.

In the video, Long met with several men he seemed to not have known prior to their encounter. He promotes a book he wrote and discusses black liberation ideology.

“I wrote it for my dark-skinned brothers,” Long said of his book.

“If you look at all the rebels like Black Panthers, Huey P. Newton, Malcolm X…Elijah Muhammad, they was light-skinned. But we know how hard y’all got it,” Long continued.

Phone numbers on buildings in the video show that it was filmed in Baton Rouge. Calls placed to the numbers were not answered because they were out of service.

“I just got here I’m not really into the protesting. I do education because that’s our real freedom,” he is heard telling two men in the video.

He called protesting “emotional” and “for the women.”

In the video Long is heard lamented “working for the white people.” He encouraged one man riding in his vehicle as he filmed using a body camera to shop only at black-owned businesses. He brought up a hypothetical scenario in which a family member who wanted to buy carpet was forced to buy from non-black business owners.

“Who’s she going to fuck with? The cracker, the Arab, the Chinese,” Long says in the video.

“These Arabs, these Indians, they don’t give two fucks about us.”

Those who are seeking to downplay the racial aspects of the killings are quick to point out that one of Long’s victims was a black cop. But the victim whose name is Montrell Jackson was clearly troubled by what he seemed to perceive as a growing hostility towards police (and whites?) according to a Twitter post:

The Black Lives Matter fools and their offspring like Micah Johnson and Gavin Long do not reflect the views of all African Americans and they need to begin to speak up against what has morphed into a dangerous and cancerous movement that is rapidly metastasizing and will only lead to more violence unless the movement itself is discredited. This starts at the top with Mr. Obama who has only served to legitimize this insanity.
