Despite officially being crowned as the first female presidential nominee in U.S. history, poor persecuted Hillary Clinton is being victimized yet again. This time – at least according to the damned liberal New York Times – it’s the bad man Julian Assange who wants to piss on her parade. The Wikileaks founder landed a major blow on Hillary’s DNC racket with the release of nearly 20,000 emails and more are alleged to be forthcoming.
Six weeks before the anti-secrecy organization WikiLeaks published an archive of hacked Democratic National Committee emails ahead of the Democratic convention, the organization’s founder, Julian Assange, foreshadowed the release — and made it clear that he hoped to harm Hillary Clinton’s chances of winning the presidency.
Mr. Assange’s remarks in a June 12 interview underscored that for all the drama of the discord that the disclosures have sown among supporters of Bernie Sanders — and of the unproven speculation that the Russian government provided the hacked data to WikiLeaks in order to help Donald J. Trump — the disclosures are also the latest chapter in the long-running tale of Mr. Assange’s battles with the Obama administration.
In the interview, Mr. Assange told a British television host, Robert Peston of the ITV network, that his organization had obtained “emails related to Hillary Clinton which are pending publication,” which he pronounced “great.” He also suggested that he not only opposed her candidacy on policy grounds, but also saw her as a personal foe.
At one point, Mr. Peston said: “Plainly, what you are saying, what you are publishing, hurts Hillary Clinton. Would you prefer Trump to be president?”
Mr. Assange replied that what Mr. Trump would do as president was “completely unpredictable.” By contrast, he thought it was predictable that Mrs. Clinton would wield power in two ways he found problematic.
First, citing his “personal perspective,” Mr. Assange accused Mrs. Clinton of having been among those pushing to indict him after WikiLeaks disseminated a quarter of a million diplomatic cables during her tenure as secretary of state.
“We do see her as a bit of a problem for freedom of the press more generally,” Mr. Assange said.
In addition, Mr. Assange criticized Mrs. Clinton for pushing to intervene in Libya in 2011 when Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi was cracking down on Arab Spring protesters; he said that the result of the NATO air war was Libya’s collapse into anarchy, enabling the Islamic State to flourish.
“She has a long history of being a liberal war hawk, and we presume she is going to proceed” with that approach if elected president, he said.
Oh come on now Mr. Assange, you can’t possibly be holding a grudge over being trapped for four years in London’s Ecuadorian embassy largely because Hillary has a hard-on for you?
Even before the DNC email dump Wikileaks and Assange had earned Hillary’s eternal hatred after that infamous 2010 release of a huge trove of State Department cables while she was the sitting Secretary of State. Mrs. Clinton then had to suffer the indignity of embarking on a global apology tour to soothe the feelings of those who had been embarrassed by the material. It has been speculated that the Obama regime will seize Assange the second he sets foot outside the Ecuadorian embassy and bring him to the U.S. to face treason charges. It’s a perfect example of how the laws have been twisted during the lawless Obama reign of terror in that Assange is not an American citizen so how could it be treason?
While the media circles the wagons to protect Hillary, it looks like Assange will continue to whack away at her as though she were a corruption stuffed piñata – there are even more documents forthcoming at least according to the CNN report “Julian Assange: ‘A lot more material’ coming on US elections”:
Wikileaks founder Julian Assange said Tuesday his whistleblowing website might release “a lot more material” relevant to the US electoral campaign.
Assange was speaking in a CNN interview following the release of nearly 20,000 emails stolen from the Democratic National Committee by suspected Russian hackers.
However, Assange refused to confirm or deny a Russian origin for the mass email leak, saying Wikileaks tries to create ambiguity to protect all its sources.
“Perhaps one day the source or sources will step forward and that might be an interesting moment some people may have egg on their faces. But to exclude certain actors is to make it easier to find out who our sources are,” Assange told CNN.
The Kremlin has rejected allegations its behind the hacking, calling suggestions it ordered the release of the emails to influence US politics the “usual fun and games” of the US election campaigns.
It’s sad to see that accountability in the U.S. has become such a rare thing for the elite that Americans need to rely on hackers and even foreign regimes to do the job that the media and our investigative bodies should be doing. But in publishing these documents showing the hubris and corruption within the DNC and with any luck in Mrs. Clinton’s basement, Wikileaks is providing voters with an invaluable service. It should be pretty clear by now that we live in a country that has been transformed into a banana republic by criminals in high places and the media that provides cover for them.
