The R.A.T.’s are starting to jump ship and scampering into the welcoming embrace of Hillary “the Devil” Clinton. Following through on a threat that she made in June, deep-pocketed. Romney connected GOP donor
Pig Meg Whitman has formally declared that she’s with her. The Hewlett-Packard executive is being treated like a heroine by the corrupt media and given her amount of clout with the politicians that she bankrolls her defection will likely result in many of them making a big show of following suit.
According to Reuters via Yahoo News “Hewlett Packard’s Meg Whitman joins CEOs endorsing Clinton”:
Calling Donald Trump an “authoritarian character” and a threat to democracy, Meg Whitman, a prominent Republican fundraiser and chief executive of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, endorsed Democrat Hillary Clinton’s White House bid late Tuesday.
“To vote Republican out of party loyalty alone would be to endorse a candidacy that I believe has exploited anger, grievance, xenophobia and racial division. Donald Trump’s demagoguery has undermined the fabric of our national character,” Whitman posted on Facebook about the Republican nominee.
In an interview with the New York Times, which first reported the endorsement, Whitman said it was time “to put country first before party” and that she would give a “substantial” contribution to Clinton’s campaign.
Whitman told the Times that Trump is a “dishonest demagogue” and said that those who look at other failed democracies and believe “it can’t happen here” are mistaken.
“Trump’s unsteady hand would endanger our prosperity and national security. His authoritarian character could threaten much more,” Whitman wrote on Facebook.
Whitman’s endorsement is the latest from a string of business leaders who have moved to back Clinton in recent days, including other high-profile Republicans.
Whitman smothers her dismay with the GOP nominee in a fine sauce of lofty principle but as a tech industry leader one has to wonder whether her decision was borne of a a more cynical reason. Trump opposes amnesty, open borders and foreign visa programs that threaten the flow of cheap labor which her corporation benefits from. As a CEO it would be foolish to believe that her announcement isn’t motivated out of concern for the bottom line and pure greed instead of actually taking a moral stand. Hillary will keep the existing rackets in place and this is why Silicon Valley adores her. Whitman’s ballyhooed announcement is also a sign that despite her campaign trail spiel that Hillary will back the American job destroying Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) as a reward to her corporate backers.
This is all about the money and the ability of special interests to continue to buy political influence and then stick the average Joe and Jane with the bill.
