In a sign of what can only be described as sheer panic in the Team Hillary command bunker, a curious bit of news came out on Wednesday. Reuters published a piece that appears to indicate that the global influence racket The Clinton Foundation may have been victimized by hackers. The story plays the Russia card that has become the bread and butter of the Dems and their media lackeys as a defense against critics, the media has also started pushing the meme that any damaging information on Clinton criminality may in fact be scurrilous lies created by agents of Putin – you just can’t make stuff like this up.

As reported by Reuters “Clinton Foundation hired cyber firm after suspected hacking: sources”:

Bill and Hillary Clinton’s charitable foundation hired the security firm FireEye to examine its data systems after seeing indications they might have been hacked, according to two sources familiar with the matter.

So far, no message or document clearly hacked from the New York-based Clinton Foundation has surfaced in public, the sources said.

One of the sources and two U.S. security officials said that like hackers who targeted the Democratic National Committee, Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and the Democrats’ congressional fundraising committee, the hackers appear to have used “spear phishing” techniques.

These include creating bogus emails or websites in an effort to gain access to Clinton Foundation staffers’ emails and then to the foundation itself.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, however, the U.S. officials said the hackers used the same techniques Russian intelligence agencies or their proxies employed against the Democratic Party groups, which suggests that Russians also attacked the foundation.

The surest way to tell that a whopper of a story is filled with whoppers is the obligatory citing of anonymous officials. Such is the advanced state of decay present within the festering corpse of the mainstream media.

Hosenball and company go on:

The attacks have left some Democrats and Clinton campaign officials worried that the hackers might have obtained emails and voice messages that could be used to reinforce Republican charges that donors to the Clinton Foundation were rewarded with access to Clinton and her aides while she was secretary of state, or to her husband, former President Bill Clinton.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee convened a closed-door meeting on Wednesday to discuss best cyber security practices.

The recent release of incriminating documents by Guccifer 2.0 via Wikileaks has Team Hillary crapping in their pants as they brace for what could be the mother of all October surprises. That the story was at least partially penned by longtime establishment scribbler Mark Hosenball shows that the fear of a killer revelation is very real and it’s imperative to launch a preemptive strike against Moscow as a diversion.

If there has indeed been a hack of the most secretive details of the Clinton crime family’s crown jewels, then not even the corrupt charlatans of the Fourth Estate will be able to put the genie back into the bottle. The publication of a trove of documents showing exactly who the sausage has been made at the Clinton Foundation could be a very troubling matter for the Dems.
