Having now lost all of their post-convention hubris that peaked with Khizr Kahn’s brief period of stardom, Democrats are now gripped in the throes of a deepening despair. The Shakesperean tragedy that is the Hillary Clinton campaign took a serious turn for the worst when the empress was shorn of her clothes after she was stricken in New York on Sunday. Suddenly all of those asking questions were no longer conspiracy theorists and all of her media sycophants ended up with egg on their faces. Even the Wednesday release of her “official” medical records isn’t going to restore their lost credibility after her episode at the 9/11 memorial services.

So what’s a crestfallen Dem to do? If your name is Harry Reid you accuse the media of a double standard because Donald Trump eats fast food and is fat. Seriously… this is what it has come down to.

The Washington Post reports “Harry Reid slams reporters for ‘unfair’ Clinton health reports, notes Trump is ‘not slim and trim’”:

Senate Minority Leader Harry M. Reid took the media to task Tuesday for, in his view, exaggerating Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s recent illness while failing to scrutinize the health of Republican rival Donald Trump.

“She has pneumonia, and … it’s curable, no one denies that,” Reid (D-Nev.) told reporters. “She’s off the campaign trail for a few days. She probably needed the rest anyway. So you folks have magnified the problems she has.”

He then moved on to Trump: “He complains about her health? What does he do? He’s 70 years old. He’s not slim and trim. He brags about eating fast food every day. Look at his health a little bit.”

Trump has actually treated Clinton’s recently diagnosed respiratory ailment with an uncharacteristically soft touch. “I hope she gets well soon,” he said on Fox News Channel on Monday. “Something is going on, but I just hope she gets well and gets back on the trail, and we’ll be seeing her at the debate.”

But he is an admitted fast-food aficionado. “I’m a very clean person, I like cleanliness, and I think you’re better off going there than maybe someplace that you have no idea where the food is coming from,” he explained on CNN in February.

Reid’s pathetic appeal to the presstitutes to body shame Trump over his admission that he consumes fast food and is overweight is liberal hypocrisy at it’s finest. Just imagine the uproar if a prominent Republican or even Trump himself would dare to go there and call Mrs. Clinton a porker who mows grub at unhealthy fast food chains like Chipotle, it would be a national outrage.

This just keeps getting more bizarre as everything that Hillary has touched after the convention was over has turned to absolute shit.
