Liberals may worship Colin Kaepernick as if he walks on water and cures lepers but regular Americans seem to have another opinion. Newly released polls show that a high percentage of the population find the San Francisco 49er benchwarmer turned social warrior be unpatriotic. While grievance mongers had long been clamoring for a prominent national spokesman to make the case that this once great nation is full of racists who take a special delight in oppressing blacks and cast their lot with Kaeptain un-American, those who actually work for a living seem to be taking all of this hoopla with great umbrage.

CBS Sports reports “POLL: Majority of Americans disagree with Colin Kaepernick’s protest”:

Colin Kaepernick’s protest seems to be gaining steam with some of his fellow NFL players, however, it doesn’t seem to be catching on with the rest of the country.

In two recent polls that were both conducted within the past week, a majority of respondents said that they disagree with Kaepernick’s decision to protest racial inequality and police brutality by not standing for the national anthem.

In one poll, which was conducted by Reuters, 70 percent of Americans said that they thought Kaepernick’s behavior was unpatriotic. Another 61 percent said that they do not “support the stance Colin Kaepernick is taking and his decision not to stand during the national anthem.”

The poll included 1,481 people who identified as white and 612 people who identified as racial minorities. Of those two groups, 70 percent of whites disagreed with Kaepernick’s stance, while only 40 percent of racial minorities disagreed with the 49ers quarterback.

Although many respondents disagree with Kaepernick’s stance, 64 percent of all the people who were surveyed agreed that Kaepernick has a constitutional right to protest and shouldn’t be punished by the NFL.

In another poll, which was conducted by Survey Monkey, 44 percent of people said they are “not supportive at all of Kaepernick’s protest.” Another 29 percent said they did support it and the rest were unsure.

Some are starting to defy the political correctness Nazis by speaking out. Former NFL quarterback turned football analyst Trent Dilfer raised the hackles of liberal loons by suggesting that a backup should just sit down and shut up. Legendary World Series winning former pro baseball manager Tony La Russa also drew brickbats over his criticism of the cop hating ingrate in red and gold. The capper was when the popular cartoon South Park mocked Kaepernick’s anti-cop acolytes so the backlash seems to be brewing.

It’s not really all that surprising that folks are increasingly being turned off by an unkempt, slacker millionaire attention whore promoting himself as the second coming of Mohandas Ghandi. He is hardly a credible figure nor one who has any business crying about the oppression of blacks – he seems to have made out rather well for himself and despite his onfield lack of prowess, he continues to draw a huge paycheck. After weeks of basking in comparisons to civil rights icons like Jackie Robinson and Rosa Parks, the tide may be turning. Remember that this is the same media that shucked any journalistic objectivity by openly campaigning for Hillary Clinton.

Have we already reached peak Kaepernick? One can only hope.
