The latest front in the establishment war on Trump is this week’s wave of newspapers throwing their support to Hillary Clinton for president. The media credibility death spiral is accelerating as the election nears and desperation mounts over the very real possibility that an outsider will kick down the door to the big D.C. shit house. Some rags like the USA Today or as I fondly refer to it as McNews for Dummies, have crossed over into rants more befitting of a banana republic but that can be expected from a paper written at a fifth grade reading level. A shocker though is the Arizona Republic which has never before backed a Democrat which isn’t sitting well with some readers.

According to Politico “Arizona Republic receives death threats after Clinton endorsement”:

The Arizona Republic has reportedly received death threats for its decision to endorse Hillary Clinton for president earlier this week.

“It’s been crazy around here,” Phil Boas, the director of Arizona Republic’s editorial page, told Arizona’s 12News. “We’re getting a lot of reaction both locally and national.”

The Republic’s endorsement of Clinton marks the first time the newspaper has endorsed a Democrat in its 126-year history. The decision has sparked some outrage. In addition to the death threats, the paper’s endorsement has prompted “countless subscription cancellations,” according to 12News.

Boas defended the paper’s decision, and said it should not come as a shock.

“I don’t believe true readers of the editorial page are surprised by this at all, because over the past year we have been writing scathing, scalding articles about Donald Trump,” Boas said. “The things he has done, making fun of disabled people and rolling back press freedoms. You know a guy who would do that and crush our freedoms in one area will do it in others as well.”

He also said that the paper may have chosen to endorse a Republican candidate if the nominee had been someone else.

“This might have been a different decision if Republicans had elected Marco Rubio or Jeb Bush, responsible Republican men,” he said.

But of course it would have been different if jellyfish Jeb! or charming young Marco had won the nomination and that is a very important point. When it comes to preserving the corrupt status quo, the only real difference between the two RINOs and Hillary is a set of testicles and a case of whooping cough.

Mr. Trump – who is absolutely on fire now – has responded by encouraging people to cancel their subscriptions to papers that are endorsing Mrs. Clinton. After all, money is the only thing that motivates the dead tree media anymore so hit them where it hurts which is in the wallet.

One wonders how Barry Goldwater aka Mr. Conservative would have responded to the Arizona Republic’s throwing in with the enemy.

Both the Arizona Republic and the USA Today are Gannett Company brands so expect every other fish wrap under their umbrella to similarly back the Clinton restoration. It’s taken awhile but Americans are now finally seeing the damage to the free press that has taken place to the media consolidations that Slick Willie set off with his signing of the 1996 Telecommunications Act. The good news however is that Big Media is being threatened as never before as more people see it for the establishment propaganda that it is and are increasingly turning to alternative media sources for their news. The most effective lies are lies of omission and while touting the “conservative” papers backing Hillary while ignoring that many are owned by the same corporation is a fine example.
