It’s looking like the R.A.T. pack may have pounced too early after the coordinated media smear campaign over an 11-year-old video of Donald Trump bragging about his sexual prowess has now apparently flopped. The weekend saw hordes of big name Republicans pull their endorsements from Trump and in some cases, call for him to drop out and forfeit the election to Hillary before giving the voters the chance to have their say. Even former Bush regime Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice called for Trump to give up the ghost.

It was a glorious weekend indeed for the anti-Trump forces as they looked to throw everything AND the kitchen sink at the Republican candidate in the hopes that he would heed calls to step down but that quickly shifted on Sunday. First a Politico poll showed that the actual voters didn’t’ give a rat’s ass about what was obviously a manufactured scandal and then a virtuoso performance by Trump in last night’s debate showed that once again, the establishment was wrong in prematurely dancing on his political grave.

Former House Speaker and political gadfly Newt Gingrich says as much about the Never Trump zombie brigade.

Newt Gingrich said early Monday that Donald Trump’s debate performance should calm the storm of Republicans calling for him to step aside after the release of controversial audio from a decade ago in which the Republican presidential nominee makes lewd, sexually explicit comments about women.

When asked by Fox News’s Sean Hannity what his reaction was to the more than two-dozen Republicans calling on Trump to leave the ticket, Gingrich, a member of Trump’s inner circle, took a victory lap.

“Tonight, they have a lot of egg on their face because the guy who showed up tonight is the Republican nominee, he clearly has earned the right to be the Republican nominee,” Gingrich said early Monday morning on Fox News shortly after the second presidential debate in St. Louis ended.

He went on to argue that Trump winning the debate is more important than ever, especially considering revelations over the weekend about her private speeches to financial groups and others.

“It’s kind of crazy for someone to suggest dumping him at this point, I would hope a lot of those who panicked over the weekend would consider their position over what we’ve learned about Hillary through WikiLeaks and the importance of stopping her from truly crippling the country,” he said.

He went on to note a partial transcript of her speech to Brazilian bankers when she called for “open borders,” which Gingrich claimed meant “600 million” new immigrants into the United States.

“He is back on track,” Gingrich said.

Trump needs to stay on track now that he has punched his way off of the ropes, especially with his bitch slapping of Mrs. Clinton onstage in St. Louis where in front of a national television audience he told her that she belongs in jail.

From an early review of the media stories as well as a heavy pre-dawn presence of Hillary’s troll army in the comments sections it’s obvious that the pussy posse didn’t get their man and their Republican allies shot their wads way too soon.
