The purveyors of forced diversity malevolence found a new target this week when they descended on the Big Apple to demand that a museum tear down a statue of Theodore Roosevelt. The war on America’s past manifested itself anew on Columbus Day when hordes of angry social justice weasels called for the American Museum of Natural History to remove a statue of the nation’s 26th president. It is the latest in a series of efforts to bully institutions into taking down all references to figures whom today’s fragile, easily offended snowflakes deem to be offensive and racist.
According to The Guardian “Take down ‘racist’ Theodore Roosevelt statue, activists tell New York museum”:
Hundreds of activists gathered at the American Museum of Natural History on Monday to take down the “racist” statue of Theodore Roosevelt and an urgent call to rename Columbus Day.
More than 200 people cheered outside the museum as activists covered the statue of Roosevelt on horseback flanked by an African American and Native American on either side and demanded it be ultimately removed.
“A stark embodiment of the white supremacy that Roosevelt himself espoused and promoted,” the group explained in a statement. “The statue is seen as an affront to all who pass it on entering the museum, but especially to African and Native Americans.”
Activists from the groups NYC Stands with Standing Rock and Decolonize This Place organized the protest to draw attention to the museum’s encouragement of racist tropes, and implored New York City to rename Columbus Day to Indigenous People’s Day.
While the liberal loons annually protest Christopher Columbus on the national holiday named in his honor, the protests are taking on an aura of menace largely thanks to the Democrats led by Hillary Clinton and the Obama’s demagoguery to retain control over the presidency. Long after the election is over though, the country will be left to deal with the toxic fallout from the agitation and race-baiting that have been undertaken solely for political expedience by criminals and cynics who are unable to run on the actual issues, instead pandering to the worst instincts of the angry and gullible.
A divided America and race relations that have been set back half a century will be among the true legacies of Barack Obama once he is helicoptered off the White House lawn in January to a future of six and seven figure speaking gigs and taxpayer subsidized golfing for the rest of his life.
I could not disagree with this article more. I understand where your brainwashed opinion is coming from, however by you being an embodiment of racism highlights the issues that half the nation fights to overcome.
