In another blow to the Hillary Clinton-Jill Stein effort to force an audit of votes in three Rust Belt states unexpectedly won by Donald Trump, a Wisconsin judge has denied Stein’s move to force a statewide hand recount. Circuit Judge Valerie Bailey-Rihn cited the law in refusing to force the entire state to bend to the latest attempt by Democrats to overturn the election. The judge instead left it up to individual counties to decide how the votes will be counted and local offices can expect to be descended upon by swarms of angry Democrat activists looking to bully county officials.
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel “Judge rejects Stein’s request for hand recount”:
Green Party candidate Jill Stein paid $3.5 million Tuesday to clear the way for Wisconsin’s presidential vote recount but had a judge reject her lawsuit to require all Wisconsin counties to do the recount by hand.
Dane County Circuit Judge Valerie Bailey-Rihn said the effort to force the hand recount — which was backed by Democrat Hillary Clinton’s campaign — did not meet the state’s legal standard for prohibiting the use of machines in the recount, saying that the two campaigns did not show a hand recount, though more thorough, was necessary or show there was a clear and convincing evidence of fraud or other problems.
Bailey-Rihn said there were good reasons to do a hand recount but no legal basis for her to mandate it.
“I follow the law. That’s who I am despite my personal opinions,” said Bailey-Rihn, who was elected to the bench last spring. “It’s (the counties’) decision. It’s their discretion. I may disagree with it … but I must follow the law.”
Debbie Greenberger, an attorney for the Stein campaign, said she was uncertain whether their side would appeal but said she hoped county clerks would heed the judge’s praise for a hand recount even though Bailey-Rihn did not mandate it.
“We hope the county boards will take the judge’s strong statement to heart,” Greenberger said.
While the ruling is not necessarily fatal to Stein’s whoring herself out to Team Hillary it does represent a problem. That problem however doesn’t apply to money as the mysterious cash continues to sluice into Stein’s recount coffers and isn’t going to stop as Clinton backers (and Soros) continue to crack open their checkbooks.
In more bad news for the now thoroughly discredited Stein, her running mate on the Green party ticket Ajamu Baraka has come out against the recount effort which he has condemned as “a potentially dangerous move” that “would be seen as carrying the water for the Democrats”, another sign that she is finished with the party that she just stabbed in the back.
