Sore loserman Mitt Romney’s big Never Trumper donor soiree was not a happy place over the weekend as the big shots gathered in Park City, Utah to chew the fat over how they were punked by the presumptive nominee. In addition to Mitt throwing a hissy fit over the sixteen other candidates who were mowed down like bowling pins by the iconoclastic wrecking ball there were tantrums aplenty. The golden boy Paul Ryan was even ambushed by high-roller Pig Meg Whitman over how he could possibly have said that he would endorse Trump in the interest of party unity.

Politico offers some tasty nuggets of what transpired in the article “Furious GOP donors stew over Trump”:

On Friday afternoon, at an exclusive Republican donor retreat here hosted by Mitt Romney, frustration boiled over. During an off-the-record question-and-answer session with House Speaker Paul Ryan, Meg Whitman, the billionaire Hewlett Packard chief executive officer, confronted the speaker over his endorsement of Trump. Whitman, a major GOP giver who ran for California governor in 2010, compared Trump to historical demagogues like Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini and wanted to know how the speaker could get behind him.

At another discussion session during the day, which featured top Romney alumni Stuart Stevens and Matt Rhoades, Ana Navarro, a Republican contributor and ubiquitous cable news personality, called Trump a “racist” and a “vulgarian and a pig who has made disgusting comments about women for years.” (Neither Whitman nor Navarro would comment.)

Even Ryan, who has endorsed Trump despite criticizing his behavior, joked during his presentation on Friday that in a recent conversation with magician David Copperfield, he said that he wished he could make himself disappear.

The incidents, which were relayed by three sources who were present — one of whom described them as “shocking” — illustrates the intense anger coursing through the GOP donor community. Far from letting go of their white-knuckled opposition to Trump, they’re stewing in it.

“I’ve been on the record with a statement saying I’m not supporting Donald Trump, and that hasn’t changed in four months,” said Whitman, who helped bankroll TV ads against Trump during the Republican primary. She wouldn’t reveal which candidate she’d back in November, and said she didn’t intend to make a decision until later on.

The acid-tongued Whitman is another Hewlett-Packard CEO like Carly “horseface” Fiorina and in addition to comparing Trump to (sigh) Hitler, she also was reportedly so pissed off that she said that she would likely be backing Hillary Clinton. It is a classic case of sewer water seeking it’s own level as moneybags Meg sees the writing on the wall and will lead the coming donor exodus from the GOP to the Dems where they know that their influence purchasing will find a gracious host in Mrs. Clinton.

According to The Hill “GOP donor likely to support Clinton, compares Trump to Hitler: report”:

A longtime Republican donor on Friday indicated behind closed doors that she would likely support Hillary Clinton for president, according to ABC News.

At a private summit Park City, Utah for conservative donors hosted by Mitt Romney, Hewlett-Packard CEO Meg Whitman reportedly compared Donald Trump to Adolph Hitler and Benito Mussolini and, according to another donor that was present, asked why she shouldn’t support Clinton.

“She posed the question, ‘Is it not reasonable to support Hillary Clinton?’ given all the awful things Trump has said,” donor John Chachas said, according to ABC.

When asked, Whitman said she was still uncommitted.

“I haven’t made that decision,” she told ABC.

“We’ll see, get to the conventions, see who the vice presidential picks are. And then I will make that decision.”

Romney’s pow-wow seems to be further evidence that the R.A.T.’s (Republicans Against Trump) are sprinting for the lifeboats out of fear and anger that their money won’t be good enough to purchase preferential treatment from a Trump administration. Given Whitman’s reaction as well as Romney’s Trump Derangement Syndrome it’s only fair to wonder whether the failed 2012 nominee had already promised that she and the rest of the crony capitalists would be given preferential placement at the feeding trough back when he was setting himself as the designated kingmaker before Trump sunk his racket.
