Like the Clintons, the Bushes are like genital herpes in that they never completely go away. Less than a month removed from his inglorious departure from the 2016 presidential campaign John Ellis Bush is back and will be bestowing his blessing on a lucky anti-Trump candidate before the critical Florida primary next Tuesday. So Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and John Kasich will all get their session of groveling before Jeb! and whoever kisses his ring to his satisfaction will gain the seal of approval.

Politico reports that “Jeb Bush to meet with Trump rivals individually”:

Jeb Bush, weighing an endorsement in the Republican primary, will meet with each of Donald Trump’s rivals in the final days leading up to the Florida primary.

The former Florida governor, who left the race last month, is planning to meet with Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and John Kasich in the immediate days ahead.

That Bush isn’t meeting with Trump doesn’t come as a surprise. As a candidate, Bush routinely savaged the real estate mogul, portraying him as unfit for the job of commander-in-chief. Trump was just as bare-knuckled, casting the former governor as “low energy.”

Kristy Campbell, a Bush spokeswoman, didn’t comment on the meetings other than to say Bush would be huddling with the three individually “over next couple days while candidates are in town for the debate” for Thursday evening’s GOP debate.

Many close to Rubio, who is betting big on a win in his home state ahead of its March 15 primary, hoped that the former governor would endorse him. Yet that hasn’t happened.

It will be of great interest to see whether Rubio who is Mr. Bush’s former protégé can worm himself back into the former governor’s good graces after stabbing him in the back. An endorsement of anyone but Prince Marco would be the final twist of the knife in the back for Rubio’s failing campaign and sweet revenge for Mr. Bush. The Bush family can never be counted out of the political Game of Thrones in America and has a long history of corruption and alliances with questionable characters.

Former Trump consultant Roger Stone who has recently been banned from CNN, ostensibly for bigotry but likely more related to a book that he wrote on the Clintons just released another entitled “Jeb! and the Bush Crime Family” which documents the skeletons in the Bush closet. Just this week it was reported that Neil “Silverado” Bush, an infamous figure from the 1980’s S&L debacle joined Ted Cruz’s finance team, they are never above the fray.

It is also possible that Mr. Bush still has his eye on the nomination at a brokered convention and is sizing up potential running mates.
